Julia Czerniawska
Born on 4th October 1982 in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
She started violin education at the age of six in the Complex
of Music Schools in Bydgoszcz. In 2001 she graduated from the
Arthur Rubinstein High Music School, at Malgorzata Szadowiak's
class. During 2001-06 she studied violin with prof. Marcin Baranowski
at the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan. In October
2006 she started post-graduate studies at the University Mozarteum
Salzburg in Austria studying with prof. Harald Herzl. Within
the framework of the Improvisation (special emphasis) she studies
with prof. Benjamin Schmid.
Julia has participated in Master Classes in
Lancut, Baloszyce, Jelenia Gora, Bydgoszcz, studying with prof.
Marcin Baranowski, prof. Tadeusz Gadzina, prof. Piotr Janowski.
In 2000 Julia was awarded a distinction at the Bach National
Competition in Zielona Gora. Next year she became a laureate
of the Regional Violin Audition in Torun.
In 2005 she received a scholarship of European Program Socrates/Erasmus
and studied at the Cologne University of Music with prof. Gerhard
Peters.
Julia has been cooperating with the European
Philharmonic Orchestra, Cologne New Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra,
Capella Bydgostiensis, Poznan Philharmonic, Music Theatre Poznan,
Inowroclaw Symhony Orchestra „Pro Arte”, Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz.
Since 2006 she has been a member of the Junge Philharmonie Salzburg.
She is also involved in chamber music.
