Maja Wesierska was born on 2nd May 1987 in Lancut. This was
also the place in which she started her adventure with violin
when she was 5 years old.
She graduated with honours from the Music School of the 1st
Grade named after Teodor Leszetycki in Lancut in 2000. In the
same year she was invited by the count Stanislaw and Rosa Potoccy
to play in the Castle of Łańcut and in Peru. Then she was studying
under the supervision of prof. Krzysztof Wegrzyn and prof. Antoni
Cofalik. She was taking part in many champion’s courses e.g.
in Lancut, Gdansk, Kozlowka, Glucholazy. She participated in
regional and national reviews of the young violinists. After
1 year of education at the Music School of the 2 st Grade in
Rzeszow she decided to quit and she was developing in the field
of art, theatre and the humanities. She took part in many theatre
workshops, school contests. She participated in international
projects and school exchanges with the countries of the European
Union.
She has been fond of the German language for many years and
that’s why after graduating from the secondary school in Rzeszow,
she started her studies at the faculty of the German Philology.
After 4-year break she decided to take up the violin again.
She managed to do this with help of prof. Orest Telwach. In
February 2007 she was developing her knowledge of playing violin
under the guidance of prof. Marcin Baranowski during the Winter
Violin Course.
In 2010 she obtained her B.A. diploma with a very good grade at the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where she had studied with Prof. Marcin Baranowski.
