This nineteen year old violinist from Gdynia began playing violin at the age of nearly four.Now she is a student at I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan, studying under prof. Marcin Baranowski.
Since the age of six she had participated in several regional, countrywide and international competitions where she won main prizes (First Prize in Irena Dubiska’s all-Polish Competition of Violin Music Interpretation in Łódź, Third Prize in George Philipp Telemann’s International Violin Competition in Poznań, Second Prize in all-Polish Violin Competition in the Memory of Aleksandra Januszajtis, a prize for the best performance of J. S. Bach’s piece, laureate of Lotos Mozart Prize International Violin Competition Gdańsk 2007). 4th Prize at the Aleksander Tansman 7th International Competition of Musical Personalities in Lodz 2008, 5th Prize at the 13th International Violin Competition in Kloster Schontal - Germany, 1st Prize at 7th International Szymanowski Competition in Lodz Poland 2009.
She gave her first recital at the age of twelve. In the same year she debuted with AUKSO Chamber Orchestra (albo mozesz zostawic orkiestra kameralna). The following year brought in successive performances: with Youth Symphonic Orchestra and Polish Chamber Philharmonic (Sopot). In 2006 once more she played with Polish Chamber Philharmonic as well as with Baltic Opera Orchestra, Hanzeatic Chamber Orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra of Polish Baltic Philharmonic. Next year she played with Hanzeatic Chamber Orchestra for the second time and also debuted with Kalish Philharmonic Orchestra.
She had performed in Tricity (Polish Baltic Philharmonic, Baltic Opera, Forest Opera) entire Poland (Concert Hall of Studio S1, Warsaw, Żagań, Chojnice, Concert Hall of Kalisz Philharmonic) as well as abroad (Slovak Republik).
She cooperated with such musical authorities as Wojciech Rajski, Marek Moś, Janusz Przybylski, Adam Klocek, Enrique Mazzola, Jacek Rogala.
Maxima Sitarz performs on various prestigious festivals. She participated in Bydgoskie Impresje Muzyczne, Festiwal III Filharmonii AUKSO Wigry 2002, Gdańska Wiosna 2006 and in Second Music Festival of Southern Greater Poland (2007).
She took part in numerous music workshops where she had an opportunity to work with prof. Eduard Demeniuk, prof. Wanda Wiłkomiska, prof. Krzysztof Węgrzyn, prof. Konstanty Andrzej Kulka and prof. Nam Yun Kim.
Twice she got a scholarship from Polish Minister of Culture and the President of Gdynia City and fourfold from “Agrafka Muzyczna” of Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland. Since the year 2004 she is involved in the Polish Children's Fund.
