Sylwia Mierzejewska – born in Warsaw.

She graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Warsaw, where she had studied with Prof. Janusz Szok. She continued her education at the I. J. Paderewski School of Music in Poznan with Prof. Jadwiga Kaliszewska and Prof. Marcin Baranowski.
She graduated with honours in 1994.
Since 1997 she has been concertmaster of the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw.
