Bartosz Woroch



Polish violinist Bartosz Woroch, began his musical education at the age of six.
He studied with Prof. Marcin Baranowski at the Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan,
from which he has recently graduated. Since September 2007, Bartosz has studied at the Hochschule der Kuenste Bern (Switzerland) in the class of Prof. Monika Urbaniak-Lisik, where his studies have been funded by a Swiss Government Scholarship.
He has attended numerous masterclasses given by renowned musicians
such as Ruggiero Ricci, Igor Ozim, Benjamin Schmid, Tatjana Masurenko and Alexander Rudin.
As a soloist, Bartosz has appeared with Czestochowa Philharmonic, Poznan Philharmonic, Auckland Philharmonic, Silesian Philharmonic and
Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra "Amadeus". He has been awarded a Polish Minister of Culture Scholarship three times, in appreciation of his numerous international awards at competitions such as Michael Hill, Pablo Sarasate and Takasaki international violin competitions.

In January 2007, Bartosz held the concertmaster chair of the Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra. He soon left in April 2008 to pursue his keen interest in both solo and chamber music.

In July 2008, Bartosz Woroch became a member of the UK based chamber group the "Cappa Ensemble". He subsequently performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at the Wigmore Hall in November 2008, followed by a concert tour of Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.

Bartosz currently plays on Geoffredo Cappa violin made in c. 1695, which is kindly on loan from a private owner.
